A friend of mine got hit on the leg with a golf ball yesterday, luckily he’s ok with a severe bruise. I had a golf ball hit the roof of my cart from 250 yards a couple of months ago.
I’ve always had insurance but I know many golfers don’t have it.
should everyone have PPI on a golf course?
I think they should!

There are many companies Brian, I’m with Golf Care PPI up to £10 million. £35 a year.

If you are member of a club in England that is affiliated to Golf England then you have £10m PPI as part of your membership. Some time in July 2021 Golf England are introducing WHS handicaps for golfers that are not members of a club. This will cost £40 per year and will include the golf insurance above. Sounds like a bargain.

The inclusive insurance that will be offered with the 'nomad' membership and club memberships is only really for public liability. It does not cover anyone not in either group. Around £30 a year will get you insurance to cover public liability AND cover for you equipment and some will allow that cover on your equipment left covered in your car overnight - but only a small few. They also cover hole in ones IN A SANCTIONED COMPETITION - not TSG games unfortunately! Also will include overseas as well if ticked.

The £30ish that you have to pay out is much cheaper than a possible court case for injuring someone (There are plenty of ambulance chasing lawyers who would jump at the chance of taking your house off of you!).

Best deal at present appears to be insure4sport - £17 pa.

I think private  Golf insurance is a must.

Mine covers my golf equipment in my car overnight which not many golf insurances do.
Read the small prints !
