Hi All,

Was hoping to ask for some much needed help on my golf swing.

When I swing backwards, I struggle to keep my head straight and have a habit to 'dip down' and bend over to hit the ball.

Does anyone have any advice on what I might be able to do to work on this please?

I have had some lessons but the instructor has not been able to give me any specific tips to help me overcome it so any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks

Difficult to guess what you might be doing.  However there is no correct way for everybody to swing, each of us has an idiosyncrasy or two when compared to 'perfect swing'.

Some teaching pros are recommending a dip into the ball that apparently generates more power.  I would have to hunt out the names.  Question to ask yourself, do you manage to hit a consistent ball?

If the ball is going where you want it perhaps your swing is right for you.

Check your lateral movement on your downswing... My pro tells me it should be minimal, is your back leg braced on the back swing?

Often it is hard to find a good pro who can help you to be the best you can, many try to teach what they can do and not what we can manage.

Best advice is persist, observe others, get a video of your swing and see if anything is obvious.

Don't be disheartened, there are many ways to swing a club.

Well I think MISIG will help you. This device helps you to feel tremendous stretch in shoulders, back and hips. it will dramatically increase degrees of backswing and range of motion.  It has helped me and hope it helps you too.
