Is the Ryder cup devalued by the consequences of LIV tour?

I think that Greg Norman is devaluing golf in general with his hatred of the PGA. And the players joining LIV are devaluing the game with their attitude of 'growing the game' when what they mean is that they are only in it for the money.
The game will suffer with yet another tour vying for our money. LIV (The Saudis) will expect to make money out of the tour they are bankrolling. They will expect to obtain national/international TV deals, which will mean we will be expected to pay out more. Already some of the players that signed up for the first game have been given the boot. And if the ones that remain are honest, they have sold their souls to the devil, as the Saudis are going to get their pound of flesh - you don't get bundles of money for a three day week 8 times a year.
We will just have to wait and see what happens. The tours are about money, the Ryder Cup isn't, let's see how it goes in the coming months.

Personally, I think the whole thing is a mess!
And I believe The Ryder Cup Committee have just seriously devalued the event. Would you tell an English Premier League Player they can't represent their country because they signed with Barcelona and will now play in the rival La Liga? No.
Sadly, because of this stance, I believe, they (the PGA) have now backed themselves into a corner? Is no one on the LIV Tour able to play either? If not, what kind of event is 2023 going to be?
I am still yet to make my mind up over LIV as a format overall, but I am fed up with watching the PGA tour, as it is just a boring 4-day procession. Fine you can still have this (we still have 5 Day cricket) but why can't we have both? N.B. I do also understand the 'Sports Washing' argument though!
But it’s a global game now, with a global TV audience and like it or not, money talks
I predict sooner or later they will have to talk to each other, as I can see the brands moving in and the whole format mirroring F1.
Rumour has it, TaylorMade have already offered LIV $1Billion for the naming rights of a LIV team (EEK!)
I have said for years if golf wants to stay relevant it needs a shake-up. And let’s not forget, it was Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer that walked out on the 'PGA of America' to join the 'PGA Tour' in 1968 (over TV monies)...so pots and kettle there perhaps?

Sadly, as with all things in media today, lots of rumour, mis-information being shared around, so will reserve judgement for now....
Happy Golfing!
