Hi All,
After playing golf for years, you would think I may have seen it all. However, I was playing on Friday at Vila Sol in a Pairs competition = points better ball, based on full h/c.
On the Par 5,14th hole (Index 2) we returned a score I have never seen before.
On one hole, counting all 4 players scores, we scored 18 points!!!
How?
- I scored 3 for 5 pts
- Player 2 scored 5 with 2 shots, so 5 pts as well
- Player 3 scored 4 with a shot, thats 4 pts
- Player 4 also scored 4 with a shot, so another 4 pts
And that gives you 18 points (4 under par).
So i was thinking is this a record? Has anyone done better?
If so lets hear about it...
I've been back here in Portugal just over a week and played 6 games, sunny every day, and long may this continue.
I will come home... but not for some time.
Roger

Hi Roger,
I can't, honestly, beat that but up here in Cheshire it can get very wet - and the 4th hole at the premier course at Portal GC in Tarporley has the fairway closed during the winter. Instead there is a mat 100 yards from pin. But it's still a par 4 on the card and stroke index 4. You can guess the rest!

Great effort but shouldn't player 2 be 5 for 4 points , in which case you signed for a wrong score, Disqualification blackballed from club and back playing with us at Risebridge.

dave, you are right, but its just my mistake, player 2 had a 4 with 2 shots so he did score 5 points, the over all score was 18 points, none of us could believe that you could score 18 points on one hole,
