Another great day enjoyed by all at Farleigh GC and superbly fought match that went all the way to the 17th green.
After being five down after seven, Marky Crane fought hard to get it back to 2 down after 16, but the lead for Johnson was just too great and Johnson claimed victory on the 17th.

We must commend the spirit in which this match was played, two guys both courteous and supportive of each other as they battled in superb conditions.

Third place Play-off went al the way to the 18th green, finishing All Square, with Gary Wilson winning the match on count back.
Meanwhile, our new Social Golfer Pairs event was won by third-place playoff contenders, Gary Wilson and Rob Webb.

Well done to Farlieigh GC for being our host and special thanks to George, Russel and Peter our starter, who couldn’t have been helpful during the day.
The course was looking fine in the Autumn sunshine, even if it was a little windy at times!
Commiserations to Marky Mark, who never gave up, but congratulations go to Dave Johnson (Previous losing finalist in 2021), our new TSG Matchplay Champion 2023!
