Ok I havn't played golf for nearly 2 weeks now, & look unlikely to play this week!  Isn't it about time that golf courses got underground heating?  Or maybe people with big hair dryer type blowers to get rid of the snow.

Maybe they could send out the early morning golfers with rakes attached to their trolleys so they could clear the snow as they go!

i know these seem 'out of the question' measures, but i think a lot of us regular golfers are going stir crazy & if you've ever seen a cornered stir crazy golfer, you don't want to approach him/her.

Has anyone been playing anywhere lately?  If so How & where?

I am off to the carribean next monday, but only booked this because its not snowing there!  Hopefully when I get back in March, this awful snow will be gone & the kids will be back at school................please come back RAIN & get rid of the white stuf (never thought I would say that.)

Or they could lay out blankets over the course.

A tent like they use at Wimbledon might come in handy.

I once asked why they didn't have a sprinkler system for the fairways and was told that the club didn't have the £750,000 it would cost to install one!

So how much would an underground heating system cost?

During the last spell of snow we had our course was left to it's own devices.

All the staff they have could have been out cleaning the snow off the greens at least, but no, it was left to melt onto the green and therefore made them very wet once the snow had melted.
