Anyone got any good golf side games to play within the round. 8 of us are going to France playing 4 games and we usually just play best 3 stableford scores from 4 and daily doubles. Spoke to a mate who runs a society and they play blind pairs, i.e you draw your partner after the round has finished. Anyone played that or have any better ideas?

yellow peril is a good idea for stableford, the holder of the yellow ball, his score must count.

Yes, I've played a variation of yellow peril where all players in the team take it in turns to play the yellow ball. Every score you get with it gets doubled, but when it's lost, it's gone for good! Tough luck if you're the one that loses it - you usually end up buying the beers later as way of apology.

you could play pairs stableford - matchplay. you throw the 4 balls up to determine partners, the two nearest balls to each other play the other two. stableford points gained at each hole are added in their pairs and the pair with the best joint stableford score wins the hole. holes are won, lost or halved depending on the joint stableford points gained at each hole.
