Just back from 4 days, one of the very best links course is Scotland, worth the journey but stay more than the day. http://www.machgolf.com/ A new pay and play course is being built adjacent to it. This is to ba named Machrihanish dunmes, nothing to do with the existing club and probably won't be open now until Spring next year

I have heard many rave reviews about Machrahanish and hope to visit and play soon. Is there any accommodation you would recommend

Hi, the village is very small and quite remote so I would suggest if you can try and get somewhere in the village itself. Douglas Lodge is very good 01586 810258 but it only takes a twin & a double. The Warren is a lot bigger and has 4 large twins all en-suite and a single 01586 810310 . Just outside the village is East Trodigal Cottage 01586 810305, very good, but again a bit small for a large group. In Campbeltown itself I have stayed a few times at Ardshiel Hotel 01586 552133 and have always found it very accommodating. If you need any more info just let me know, I'm a member and have going there for 21 years so know a little bit about the place, very unpretenious and the club really does enjoy having visitors Kind regards Lawrie
