I am having trouble marking balls wit my Skycaddie. Do you just click on the make ball button then when you hit the ball walk to the ball and mark the ball again thenmark that ball again hit it and do the same thing that is what I have been doing not sure if that is right if its not can some one explain what to do . With sorehot  there was some where which gave all the club names you measured every club then  stored it so hopw dose SkyCaddie know which clubs you are using can some one please help than thanks

Hi Heather,

I've not had any dealings with the SkyCaddie GS5 but a friend of mine has the older version.

I'm sure all he does is push the button and then he walks to his ball, pushes the button again and it will tell him how far he has hit the ball.

As for saving yardages for each club I'm not sure if his can do that, or he doesn't bother doing it.

Have you read the instructions?  Maybe it tells you somewhere in there how to do what you are asking about.

Hopefully somebody on here will have a GS5 and will be able to tell you how to do what you are asking.

I am afraid that you cannot do the same on the skycaddie as you could on the sureshot. It will only record each shot you will have to keep  a manual record for each club.

I receved this reply from another forum You need to press the mark ball for about 2seconds. Their is a feature to record distances for each club, you need to go to the menu & into features.  .The new model won't recommend which club to use when out on the course.I did this but no menu came up will just have to keep trying, have been told that they will be a new add on soon so that you can record scores like the SureShot I feel that the SkyCaddie should have this on the user guide there is nothing it seems they expect you to find out for yourself. We have only used the gps on a few holes its good will just have get used to it. If i had not had the problem with SureShot I like it better but I expect that is because I am used to it.
