Golf Forums - Message In Box / Internet Speed

When I click on my in box which says I have 2 messages the messages do not come up and all the messages I wanted to keep are not there any more what is going on please help.

The rendering of page content has slowed down slightly following our move to a different way of displaying the ad on the right hand side.

We're working on speeding it back up but generally what is happening is that the page displays and then the ad takes a while to 'catch up'. This is not a problem on most pages and for anyone with a fast internet connection (probably don't even notice) but in the instance of the 'My Messages' page the message content is being displayed AFTER the ad.

For you not to see your messages I'm guessing that you have a slow internet connection and are not waiting for the page to complete the whole display. What is the speed of your internet connection?

Just tested the speed of my broadband connection (using these guys  http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/ ) and it came back as between 500-600k.  It used to be 3-4mg !!

Probably not entirely coincidentally BT have been harrassing me to upgrade to their new 'upto 8mg' service and sign a new 18 month contract for the priviledge...

Good job I didn't as it's now more likely I'll go with someone else.
