It's been requested that when you click on the weblink included within the email notifying you of a newly posted game and/or unread messages you should be automatically logged in to the appropriate page (ie without the need to enter your User ID & Password).  The problem with this is that if anyone else uses your email account then they would be able to gain access to your account with The Social Golfer.

Alternatively, we could add the option for members to say 'keep me logged in to The Social Golfer' (this would then store your log-in details on your computer so that everytime you go to www.TheSocialGolfer.com you would be automatically logged on). The problem with this is that if anyone else uses your computer then they would be able to gain access to your account with The Social Golfer.

So:

1/  Who would find the automatic log-in from an email useful and who would find this a problem?

2/  Who would find the system wide automatic log-in option useful and who would find this a problem?

Hi,

Maybe you could use a system where it recognises the username but still asks people type in a password?

I'm up for the system remembering me because I can never remember my password.

I've got a bit of a vested interest so my vote probably counts less, but I would like it a system like the online banks etc ie it remembers my Username but I have to put in my password.  Anyone else agree?

Okay.  It seems that the consensus is for the system to 'remember' your User-ID but ask you for your password each time.  So we'll add this to the 'to do' list and try to get it in within the next few weeks.  Thanks for the input.
