Hi I live in Spain and play golf regularly -I have a high handicap and play to enjoy the day in the sunshine. However golf in Spain is very diffeent from the UK . The green fees are very expensive and even if you join a golf club you still have to pay green fees. Therefore most british golfers who live here play with golf societies. With a golf society not only do you get reduced green fees on society days but also if you play on other days. For example I can take visitors to Macenas for 18 holes at around 40 euros including buggie. At Desert Springs one can pay around 90 euros ! If anyone wants to know more about golf in Spain please feel free to ask! Jude

Welcome Jude! Thanks for the kind offer - one that I shall take up sooner than you think, since I'm booking a break in Spain within the next month! Regards, Carol

For those members travelling to Spain frequently Club Ameryich (40 courses in Spain) offer their 'Overseas Member' package which gives you the same discounts as local members across all their courses, but much cheaper. And they've even added a TSG Member offer to discount it further (see the 'Offers' section).
