I'm a member at Stapleford Abbotts GC, which is a Crown golf club.

We have monthly medals on the first full weekend of each month and the Wednesday after.

There are also the other big yearly competitions that are held during the year.

I'm sure most golf clubs have these kind of regular events.

Hi dave, sherfield oaks has regular well attnded midweek. (Mon& thurs)roll ups, at least 2 competitions a month on 2 courses.(stab & medals) there are matches weekends & lots of other comps. If you join b4 end of april you get 6 months worth of srixon balls. (You have to mention my name to get this. I'm not on the staff! but I've been a member for 6 months & can totally recommend it.

Hi David

Nearly or all clubs should hold a stapleford and a Stroke play and us at blue mountain we hold a mixed every month.  They should also hold singles and doubles games during the summer and winter, soon we will be holding a fun roll up £5 winner take all

But You will see i am running a tournament at present and once the finals have been done, i'll be running a summers single matchplay within the group at crown courses and then it will be the winter tournament

The only differences there is all crown course have different fees, we are about £600yr which can be paid monthly 5day member or somewhere like hampton court or batchworth are so much more as they are crown but also private clubs, good luck with your choice
