I'm hoping to get the video camera out over the next few weeks. The one thing you cannot do is watch your own swing! You might think that you've got a pretty solid swing but when you watch in on video your quickly realise that you haven't! Russ

Agree 100% Russell - my swing was put onto video during a lesson. The pro put it in slow motion, and I was congratulating myself on a smooth, balanced backswing (almost looked professional I thought), then I saw the lunge from the top, coming at the ball from the outside, losing power before contact. etcetera etcetera. I found it very helpful though - i've learned never to have my swing put on video again..........................

I too got my swing videod at a lesson and what really amazed me was what I felt was going on in my swing, was nothing like what was really happening, I swing with a really flat plain but it feels like my club is as high as I can get it and I thought I was coming over the top a little but the video proved otherwise, so you never know.

In a great little book about getting back in to 'golf' (sorry the name excapes me) the writer said ' watching yourself hit the ball, is a little like seeing your mother taking a shower, you just have to turn away' I thought that discribed the experiance to a 'tee'

Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum so hello and happy golfing. I have used the videoing technique myself (filmed by my very critical and competetive brother) and found it very useful. It is good to see where your faults are and able to try and fix them.
