What your thoughts/who do you think will win. I have a small wager on Ross Fisher @ 22/1. -- 15/07/2009 08:29:14: post edited by TheSocialGolfer.

Poulter, he's going to win soon. He's had 3 really good rounds in each of his last few tournaments. If he can make it 4 he will win. His odds are poor though.

Horse, Bolted & Gate !!!! - took some advice from an internet tipping site and went with David Drysdale 25/1 top 5 finish & 11/1 to finish in the top 10 Seriously, he has been playing really well the last few weeks and he holds no serious thoughts of winning next week - now what's next week !?!?!? Two for the Open : David Duval & Garry Orr - you can retire if either of those two win at Turnberry.

Well, with the Scottish Open finished and giving us the last few entrants for the Open Championship. Who's it going to be this week? Personally I think Lee Westwood has a great chance (and worth a little wager). His game is coming onstream just at the right moment and if he can keep his nerve playing with Woods during the first couple of rounds I think he could be there or very close come Sunday.

Ross Fisher once again,i am going to forgive him his little slump last week when he only shot 71 in the 3rd round. It is only a matter of time till he wins the big one.

Isn't Ross Fisher's wife about to give birth any day now. I'm backing 3 this year. Poulter, Sean O'Hair and Soren Kjeldson. All each way because I still think Tiger will win.

Add in Lee Westwood and I think you've got a good value 4 players there as I don't think Tiger is driving well enough again yet to make it on a course like Turnberry - much tighter than the US courses he's already back to murdering (but murdering based on fantastic recover shots after some very wide tee shots...)

Anyone heard of a guy named Tiger Woods? He want's to beat Jack's majors record bad. I would have bet on him if the odds were not 2/1 in his favor. How about Padraig's chance of 3 peating as Open Champion?

Padraig will need to vastly improve on the form he has shown this year, but as we know ...it's a funny old game. http://i27.tinypic.com/2n1gzsx.png Ross Fisher is now scrubbed off my list, because he has stated he is offski IF he gets the telephone call, I have settled for 72 hole match bets. Roll on 9am when coverage starts on the good old BBC.

From the lack of postings since the Open started on Thursday, I take it no-one had the double "Cink to Win, Tiger to miss the Cut" ?? dg
