Tomorrow is the first ever 'Two League Challenge' game.

The Southern League side are now about to embark on a new era of domination over the Northern League side.

I expect each and every one of the Southern team to give their best for this event, content in the knowledge that giving the 'Other lot' a good drubbing is the only thing that counts.

The 'Other lot' will be turning up in their fancy dress costumes full of confidence that they will be going home with the trophy!

We, here in the Southern team know different.

Please take every chance to 'Rub their noses in it'

See you there and please have your winners speech ready.

Photographs will be taken during the day and evening, and I'll publish them for the world to see.

Remember Southern team, this is not a one off event, it's going to be an annual event so by beating the 'Other lot' in this first event will give each and every one of you your place in history.

Play well, and cheat if you are losing....   lol

Hi Pete,

I run a summer/winter league on this site and Allan runs a summer/winter league of his own.

My leagues are advertised on three golf forums, here, the VGS and Golfshake.

Allan challenged my league to a matchplay event.

The game was held last Saturday, with the northern league winning by 1 points (7.5 to 6.5).

Sadly for us, we had a poor turnout with only four members of my league playing.  This meant we had to 'borrow' six players from the northern league to boost our numbers.

It was a great day, 9 holes on the par 3 course, bacon butty and a drink then 18 holes on the main course, followed by a meal and prize giving.

All this for £29

We are hoping to make this an annual event but it all depends on how many players I can get to turn up.

Some of the northern players pulled out of this game once they knew that we couldn't get a full team as they didn't want to play for us, etc.

I do advertise these events so keep an eye open for them.
