Hi, tried the callaway Diablos yesterday as i fancy changing my clubs (I use graphite at the moment and wanted to go to steel shafts). The clubs i borrowed came with a set of woods 1,3,5 which had a draw bias on. Like most golfers i have the ability to drive like a god and then without warning back comes the massive fade. I used the driver and hit 13 out of 15 fairways but my question is this: should i go with the draw bias or is it just masking a bad swing which when i get right will introduce a hook? Does anyone use these type of clubs with a draw or fade bias? steve

Hi Steve, I'm surprised no-one answered this post - it seems every other male that I play golf with, admits to having at least one club with a draw bias! I think this confirms that an awful lot of us 'average' golfers have a tendency to fade or slice the ball. But I'll admit it: for the last 2 years I've been using R7 3 & 5 woods with a draw bias - but following some changes to my swing earlier this year, I had to change them! You are right, once you get the swing on plane you can end up with some nasty hooks or at least a pull shot. Why not go for the clubs with the adjustable weights - you can always move them back later to 'unbiased' if you think you are striking the ball more squarely.

Hi, I have always been against purchasing a club that corrects a fault in your swing. I would rather work on erasing the fault . Having said that I have a very poor short game from about 20 yards in so I have recently purchased a Callaway chipper/putter which has had amazing results. I was always a good putter so I just play my short chips with a putting stroke now. So based on my new club there is not really an answer to your question. Stuart

Hi, I have decided that it would be better to get the neutral clubs (or the weighted as Carol suggests) rather than the draw bias and continue to get my swing back on plane. I can see me having a good round with them then getting the savage hook the next round. Thanks for the input. Steve
