Golf Forums - Order or players on a game and on Standby

I've noticed that players on a game are always put in the same order - I can't work out what order it is, because it's not alphabetical by surname or first name nor is it by handicap, but nevertheless when ever I join an event with say Paul Smith, I am always put after him, whether or not I joined before or after him, or indeed after several other people who are on the event. This can make it difficult if you haven't visited the site for a few days (and the joining and cancellation emails are working - subject of another thread)  to work out who has left and who has joined the game. I would like to see the first person listed being the organiser and then the other people listed in the order in which they joined.

To be fair it's a minor issue however I do think this has implications for people on Standby. If the same order is used for the people on Standby, and someone cancels from the game - which person gets picked to go onto the game - the person who was on standby first or the person whose picture is first in the Standby box?

Frances, I have also noticed this 'Random' order on a game.

I'd like to see the names listed in the order in which they enter the game.

Then the people who are on standby would go at the end.

If somebody then drops out of the game the first person on standby would be promoted to the game.

It's by site "membership" number, which is presumably the order people signed up. Francis is 11151, Russ 12322. Me, I'm not a number...

Yes, Member ID it is but that's probalby not very useful (potentially interesting but not very useful !).

So, the Game Details will now show Game Attendees in the order they joined the game and the Standby List Members will be reported in the order they joined the Standby List.
 
As a point of clarification 'promotion' from the Standby List when a space appeared in the game was always conducted in the order they joined the list.
