Hi Mark, What was the price you were 'lucky enough' to get the tickets at? (sorry about the cynical emphasis but I believe we Brits are ripped off when it comes to all sporting events). Pete.

Tickets cost £100 for Friday, same for Saturday and £130 for sunday. Agree the price is a rip off, but I have always wanted to go and as far as I'm concerned it is a "must do". Same as going to the Olympics 2012, won't be here again in my life time so will try and get tickets for either opening or closing ceremony and you can bet the ticket prices will be a "rip off"

I went for 6 day ticket at £430, it sounds expensive but 6 full days for once in a lifetime experience, managed to also get my wife a ticket for Thursday at £40.

Got ballot allocation of tickets for Wednesday practice day and hopeing that I can get some for Tuesday practice day in second ballot. Have to say options for ticket allocation was a little unfair. As the lead booker I could not apply for tickets for two practice days - however you could apply in the first ballot for a ticket for the whole event (7 days). Seems like an unfair way to set things up
