I recently took up golf again after 20 years & joined Benton Hall Golf Club - I need three signed cards to obtain an official handicap there - but must be signed by a golfer with an official handicap from any club - have yet to meet anyone at the club -
Anyone here who can help or perhaps is a regular at the club and would like a few rounds please let me know?

I know you need your card signed by someone with a CONGU recognised handicap (ie a handicap issued by a CONGU affiliated golf club - it's a closed shop!) but doesn't the game actually have to be played at your club?

If so why don't you put a game up and see who joins and can sign for you?

Thanks Pete for your info.
I think I will to post a game.

Below is the extract from the Benton Hall welcome pack RE: Handicaps

" To gain a handicap you need to play three rounds of 18 holes.  Each round you must play with and have your scorecard signed by a Member of any golf club (not necessarily Benton Hall) who has an official handicap of his or her own."

Thanks

Why not ask in the Pro Shop/Office if they know of any members who would be willing to have a round of golf with you.
