Played the Hurricane course at West Malling again last week and would recommend it to anyone.  It's a great course in that it's not cramped, no two holes are the same, it's in great condition at the moment and, best of all, West Malling has moved away from the 50% off if you've got the right discount voucher but £40 otherwise (sorry sir no exceptions...) to a much more sensible policy of £25 no discount cards accepted.

I'd recommend playing the Hurricane instead of the Spitfire (Hurricane is the course off to the right as you walk out of the Pro Shop/Locker rooms - back of the clubhouse) not because it's in any better condition but simply because the Spitfire has a lot of blind shots (which I don't like).

You don't book a tee time at West Malling (just turn up) but I would recommend phoning to check the tee isn't blocked by a society!  Get yourself down there before the word gets out.

Don't you just hate it when a girl of 20, who plays off 7, tell you a course you like is too easy !!

Congratulations Elizabeth on getting down to a 7 handicap, you'll make all the blokes (hackers) on here jealous!

Good luck with getting your handicap down.

I played the Hurricane course earlier this year and I can recommend it to anybody, get down there and try it out.

Everything at this club was good and if I lived nearer to it I'd join it.
