I find being left handed quite useful on the golf course, as most seem to be designed to challenge right handed players. A bit of unintentional fade means I can normally get away with a couple of wild driver swings!!

Oh yes, totally agree with Adam, some dog legs do favour us "lefties", but I did not want to reveal all... Well not yet.

Yep - a lot of golf courses do put trees and stuff in the way of right-handers, but if you have a right-handed 5 iron, you can play that left-handed (apparently the loft is the same either way around).
There are a good proportion of left-handers around, I think I am right handed because it is easier to find right-handed clubs and basically I prefer the easy life.
I can play with left-handed clubs as well though, when the need arises (and it's good to occasionaly play 'other-handed' as it tends to balance out the body).
Anyway - there are good outlets for lh clubs, and funnily enough I have even seen the same LH clubs sold cheaper tha RH counterparts... I wonder how that works (must be some market forces at work).

Outlets for Left handed golfers providing Ladies clubs are very rare and it is always difficult to find a specific club, as not every manufacturer cater for us "woman lefties" because we are a rarity... apparently so....
The only one shop I know of is THE LEFT HAND GOLF in Kingwood,Surrey and this has been the only place with a few clubs that I could try out. the Men selection is vast, the Ladies selection is small, look at the website www.thelefthandedgolf.com
Saying that my very local Golf club, Strawberry Hill, is very helpful and the Pro, Peter Buchan is helping me with my choice for a Rescue/hybrid club. In fact, I have the loan of a rescue club and a 6i for the past 8 weeks or so and today, sadly I shall return those clubs and still not sure which one I shall buy.
The choice of putters for LH is also very limited...
The list could carry on, the only thing that lefties has no problem with is funnily enough THE GOLF BALL, suits either...
On another note: as to golf clothing with only 1 pocket, nearly always on the wrong side and very difficult to find fashionable ladies "right handed" golf gloves.... same for te golf bag and more...
I would like to know of other outlets fo left handed lady golfers (I dont want to buy on line). So if anyone can help, please do so..

Hi Brigitte - I can always supply left-handed tees, they appear to be in abundant supply as well. Point taken though left-handed ladies clubs do seem a little rarer than others, and I hadn't noticed any fashionable gloves left or right... perhaps I look in the wrong places...
Last time I was in London, the Golf shop near Liverpool Street Station seemed to have a fair selection... but that was a while ago...
I'll have a closer look next time I am passing through...

I'll take it as read that you have a smiley face... we all need to be amused from time to time... and of course it helps to enjoy...
btw I have found some 'left-handed' balls... with the logo written right to left... I'll keep some for you.

how do you manage to read the Logo ???
I found the Smiley, but dont know how...
you might get torticollis if you move your neck the wrong way when reading the logo.

I'm a proud leftie. The biggest problem I have is finding enough bays for left handers at golf ranges. There's more of us than you think !
