Roger, when I have previously played in team stapleford games each player plays off their full handicap, if it is a team of 4 then the best 3 scores per hole count, team of 3 the best 2 scores per hole. same format can be done but using complete round scores, ie the best 3 rounds pts are added together for a total with the 4th worse score left out. again with a team of 3 the best 2 are totalled together. In the case of St Pierre match next march, if we have 20 then it will be the best 15 scores to count for the team total.

Hi, I agree with Mark. I have played a lot of team matches and pro ams and they all play best 3 from 4 scores on each hole. Generally full handicap but i played a few pro ams a couple of years ago whereby they use three quarters of the handicap.

Thanks Guys that's the way I have always played it, But the other week I was at a course where a society was playing and they had this formula that worked out a handicap for the whole team. which seem like a good idea, Guess I should have paid more attention at the time.

The only team handicap i have played is when we have a fourball playing texas scramble and that is 10% of combined. (for future reference)
