At the beginning of the week i played my best golf the day after i played terrible the day after better then the Monday yesterday terrible. I just can't work it out.

It's called swing groove consistency and it's the way to get your handicap down.

On a similar note, what used to happen to me was that I would play the best golf of my life on the front nine and then couldn't hit the golf ball on the back nine. It was so frustrating because as far as I was concerned I wasn't doing anything differently and didn't know what was happening. My solution was to find a professional who could explain the elements of the swing to me (in English!). I'm still no better (don't play often enough is my excuse) but at least now when I push the ball off to the right I know what I did wrong and focus on my swing for the next shot.
