Does anybody know any decent golf teachers in the kent area. Need to improve my game, and would like a couple of lessons, at a reasonable price. Recommentdations gratefully received!

Sarah, Paul Foston is a good teacher (voted within Best 25 coaches in UK in 2005 & 2006). He has teaching facilities in a barn at his home in Smarden (multi-angle video etc) plus he is the resident coach at, I believe, Weald of Kent in Headcorn.

Sarah I read your post about trying to find a golf teacher; I know a PGA pro called Richard Silman who works at Staplehurst Golf Club, who does 6 lessons for the cost of 5. I did that course last year and he is good teacher..he uses the Explanar system to explain the swing mechanics and I found I was hitting the ball slighty further after his intruction. The driving range there is pretty good, with auto-teeing up after you hit a shot...or not at the case maybe ! The site is http://www.staplehurstgolfcentre.co.uk/ Cheers! Rob

Sarah, It may be a little far away but the ex-Asst. Pro. at Royal Ashdown Forest G.C. (Richard Hollands) is now at Wellshurst Golf Club in Sussex. He has a superb reputation as a teacher. Again, in East Sussex - you could try Kevin Hinton at Holtye G.C. not only a good teacher but still an extremely good player in his 40/50's. Made it through to Open final qualifying 2 years ago - which as a local club pro is no mean feat. Ideas may help you. Bob
