Am I the only Social Golfer with an ego ?

Just posted three photos relating to my golfing successes - come on everybody don't be shy, photo those cups, salvers and crystal and register on the "Smugometer". Maybe T.S.G. will offer a small prize for the biggest or most outrageous gong ?

That rather presumes you've won a gong to display a picture of !!!!!

Ummm, no previous scores posted, could easily be a bandit 'protecting' his handicap. Anyone out there played with him and ready to vouch for him...

Nice one John - my name at my previous club was Bob the Bandit (let me say not of the cheating variety). Pete, reckon your being very P.C. about all of this, sure with your game you have some sitting on a sideboard somewhere in the mansion.

This is only fun folks, post those pictures and I'll work on Pete to give 2/3 "2 for 1" vouchers for the grandest/hideous trophy submitted.

Okay, okay, lets call it TWO 2-FORE-1  vouchers to the person who uploads a picture of the biggest and/or grandest and/or worst trophy you've ever received and, ONE 2-FORE-1  voucher the runner up and, isn't life wonderful !, to ensure 'Bob the bandit' doesn't win, we'll make him the judge. ha, ha, ha.

So, Bob TB will be judging and awarding by, lets say, Sunday 10th Aug. Get those photos uploaded.

PS.  I promise to dig around the 'mansion' to find them by then!

4 over off an 18 handicap! 50 Stableford points!! I can think of a few names you'd be called in my golfing circle... (what did they cut you too?)

CARPE DIEM !!!!

Sad Bob has looked through a number of profiles and John Loveridge currently seems to have the best (and may I say) the only trophy in the photos area.

Currently I don't have much of a judging job. Pete set the deadline of 10th August for the posting of gong photos so let me know if you wish to be considered. Looking through upto 2,000 profiles is not great fun especially as you all seem to be extremely modest about your achievements ha-ha-ha !!!

2 x "2 for1" vouchers are available for the winner - worth upto £200+ if used at the right course.

Ok, bugger modesty - if there's a prize to be had, I'll submit a photo.

I feel cheated now - I have won a couple of times but all I got was a couple of quid (and a silly, too small to use, sports bag) so I can't post any photo of my 'trophies, medals, shields or otherwise...'

I won the XMas fare a couple of years ago and got a couple of hand warmers and a windscreen scraper.

I have also uploaded a few more photos.

Have a look at my picture, its me with my hole in one trophy!!

I can vouch for John, and confirm he is a bandit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has come down about 10 shots over the last year, still need to come down a bit more.  He hits its miles, just not always in the right direction!

Not quite of the same quality are they !  (but I do have to concede that at least you've got 2 trophies to brag about).

Pete : Having spent 12 hours going through every profile on The Social Golfer (can visably see my nose growing). I declare a tie !

For sheer quality - equal first is Carol B. for the armful of cups won at ONE PRIZEGIVING !

For quantity the award has to be shared by John Loveridge - my wife would go spare with all those gongs and things (?) on our 16th century sideboard !

Judging is SO DIFFICULT how did I win this job ?

So : 1 x "2-1" to Carol B. and 1 x "2-1" to John Loveridge - I'll give you the money when we next play.

Happy pot hunting - unless Carol or John get there first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a hero you are Bob, trawling '000s of profiles to keep it fair! (if i'd have been judging people would have had to have told me they'd posted the photo to be included !!).

I'm impressed by the collections (but I suspect Carol is simply standing in front of the end of year awards lined up at the bar before they're given out!).  I'll arrange the 2-fore-1 vouchers as you've awarded.

Well done to all who took part (I'm now going to think up my own competition - one I can win... maybe 'best golfer never to have won a trophy...').

Pete,  It just goes to show that you dont have to be a good golfer just a lucky one  or in my case a bandit.... My approach to golf is army based ... left .. right... left

Hi Ian,

Walked Porthpean G.C. some year's back - when staying at the local Holiday Camp (one with the toboggan ride). Anyway, looked a super course - good luck in your golfing travels. Too late for compo consideration, post the photos anyway.

Good Luck

Damn, been away and missed the closing date.  I've just remembered I have got a gong!  It may be shared but half of it is mine and it sits in the RAF Club in Piccadilly, not on my mantelpiece.  Had to share this with you, it's probably the only half I'll ever get.  LOL.
