Since I started playing golf I've always picked things up when on the golf course.

The normal things like balls, tees, pencils, etc.

Plus the unusual items, like head covers, car keys, etc.

I'll aways pick up clubs, head covers, car keys, etc and hand them in at the pro shop when I've finished.

But for the last few months I've stopped picking up golf balls and tees.

As a Yorkshireman it goes against the grain to leave something out on the course, but I've got so many golf balls it's not worth the effort!

I still dig out my ball retriever when I see a ball in a hedge or pond.  But if it's not a Titleist I just leave it on the edge of the pond or maybe on the next tee.

Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are my ball of choice, but any Titleist ball will do for my practice ball bag.  My regular playing partners will take any Srixon, Callaway or Nike balls that I find.  Anything else stays on the course.

Just lately I've also stopped picking up tees.  I have always used the castle type of golf tee.  Just like the way I can be certain the tee goes into the ground the same distance for each shot.

I have a plastic soap powder container that I use to store any spare tees I have.  This is now full and I'm having trouble closing the lid.  So unless it's a pink or orange castle tee they also stay on the ground now.
