Hi, I'm interested in getting on the of the new Callaway FT-i square drivers but I've been told that there are actually several of them and you have to buy the club which is matched to your swing.  Does anyone know if this is true or can I just buy a 'standard' variant?

Pete, I've got one of these and it's awesome...  The sound off the face is a little different to my old Callaway but the drives are all straight and long(er) so well worth the change.  I got mine from my local club and it was just a case of trying a couple.  I think there is only a choice between degree of loft (9, 10, 11), stiff or regular shaft and draw or neutral bias.  So probably no different to Taylor Made, Ping etc.  So, basically if you've already got a draw then you'd go for the neutral bias but if you've got a fade you would go for the draw bias  (brings your shots back to straight) if you've got a fast swing then you'd get the stiff shaft otherwise you'd get the regular shaft etc.  But rather than trying to work it out it's probably best to find a driving range which lets you try the clubs to see which one actually suits - well worth trying one anyway....   Hope that helps.

Comitted to the exhorbitant price and bought one now!  So, over the next couple of weeks, I'll give feedback on whether it 'does what it says on the tin'.........
