Dear All,

Welcome to the new look TSG!

As promised, we have listened to your feedback and made some significant changes to the look and feel of the site.....

The main changes to note, are as follows:

- A brand new landing page, now showing the TSG 'mission statement' and a live short-list of the upcoming games
- There is a new look menu system with single dropdowns, hopefully now making it simpler for you to navigate your way around the site
- Increased limits for uploading your photos (Up to 5mb per image and up to 50mb per member in total)
- Cleaner and better presented graphs on the Game Analysis pages with improved defaults
- And lastly, added detail to the email alerts, especially on the 'Game comments' updates (N.B. These will take effect later this week!)

However, not ones to rest on our laurels........

As we have been going through the redesign process, we have noticed some of the page loading speeds are not what they should be (a constant problem for everyone in the cyber-world) but bear with us, as we are seeking to improve this too in the coming days/weeks......

Oh and before we forget, we have a new improved and shortened copy-line on our masthead "Make New Friends, Play More Golf!", which is of course, exactly what we want you to do!

So thats it for now, we hope you like it!

Happy Golfing!

I find the new web site very user friendly and quick to find all aspects of golf.
Keep up the good work, and hey keep practising out there, see you all soon on the course.

Alan, it's taken you three years to navigate to this thread. If that's 'speeded up' I'd hate to see you navigate slowly ;)

When entering scores on my mobile phone handset I have noticed that the submit button (in line with the right hand side of the free form text box for comments) is no longer visible and I cannot seem to adjust image size to show it, I know I did upload scores via my Old Blackberry handset but not yet managed on a newer android phone. It might be me but the text box does seem a bit wider than it used to be.

I can demonstrate when next in situ..

Turn phone to landscape view and miraculously the button reappears. (but it is a pain in the butt)

Hi Steve (et al),

Interesting feedback and one we have already started to address in recent weeks.

You will notice there are certain pages on the site that have seen changes but we are still not completely 'responsive' yet.

However, Adam (Lead TSG Dev) has a plan to work on all these fixes and more over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, thanks for feedback, as your comments allow us to prioritise our work.

Regards

Hi Steve,

I am told by Adam, this fix is now live.

Please confirm you can now see this on your phone in portrait.

Kind Regards

Ian

Hi there - yes just 'tested' the changes and that is much better - can even see the submit button in portrait on my old blackberry will confirm it is OK on the android phone as well.. sure to be OK, I'll let you know if it isn't.

This sort of activity panders to one of my former lives as a Test Manager... I specialised in validating web site changes.

Keep up the good work, I had application software that allowed for automated site testing (identifying broken links and non-responsive pages) probably still have it around somewhere.

I did of course turn the phone to landscape but still the text box and the submit button were out of sight... (it might have been my handset settings but I don't think so..)

John you must have a wider phone than mine...
