Hi all,
Last year I managed to raise two teams of four from TSG to play in the H4H charity day at chart hills golf course.

The same event is being held again on the 26th May 2011, regretfully I will not be able to take part as will be suffering playing golf over in Florida.

Gary Moth, who played last year is really interested in putting a team or two together.

if anyone would be interested, please post here and if enough to make a team then Gary will get the details and post the game.

think the cost last year was £60 per golfer.

it is a great day out for a very worthy cause.

regards
mark.

You can can count me in again on this, from last year's experience it was for a worthy cause and a great course to play.
I hacked round last year, but that didn't matter, its the taking part that counts!!!!!!!
SO IF ANY T.S.G MEMBERS CAN JOIN THE TEAM PUT YOUR NAME FORWARD.

sadly guys I have decided to now not attend, myself and Mark R, played the course last thursday and whilst there looked at the entry form.

for some reason they have increased the fee for non members from £60 to £80 per golfer to take part, there is no change to the days format nor have the green fees been increased so even though it is for a great cause it seems a very excessive increase.

I think I have to agree with you there Gary,a 25% increase is a bit steep,by the time you also take the cost of getting there it will take the cost well over £130 for me.
I am all for sponsoring a good cause, and giving up my time for something like this, but this is a bit too much.
Unless they decide to drop the price to at least last years cost then I will also will be pulling out of the team.
I don't see how they can justify this increase for a golf day like this, especially when you can play their for £35 inc. of a two course meal in a winter deal they have advertised on the Charthills Web site.
It's a shame to let something like this down and may be someone who is reading this might be able to give us an explanation for the increase in price
Sorry to let the team down on this,it's the principal of the matter for me

Having occasion to discuss - I too will not be able to support this particular event, however the possibility for another H4H event north of the River is never out of the question,  I'll see what I can come up with in the near future...
