September the 11th and 12th were probably the only days Carden Park golf club had no rain this year, thus making it more enjoyable. Pro am on the first day, Good job the pro. turned up or there may have been a no return on my card, I’m blaming it on the three and a half hour drive there.

On the following day, I found my game again, and along with Graham Hurrell, who came with me, we managed to put together a respectable score, We had good company, even though the celebrity,Willie Young and the other member of our team Steve Alford, did not come up to their expectations.

Both evenings at the hotel were a bonus, with the host Ian Halliwell, Chairman of MRC International , who invited us through the  Social Golfer, to play in both events, and join them for a meal and entertainment on Thursday  evening, and the Gala Evening on Friday, the later, where the celebrities performed for us all was one to remember.
