Hi All,
I saw an interview with Colin Montgomerie on Sky Sports News last night about Tiger's spitting incident and he seemed to think that this was cultural thing and that spitting is accepted/endured in the US compared to the UK.....he did of course go on to condemn the action!
Personally, I have never played with anyone in The States that has spat on the fairway, let alone the green but perhaps our friends across the pond can confirm this?

Speaking as an American (who travels home a lot, and still plays there frequently) ... I would never spit on the green, and none of the guys I play with would ever do that. I've never SEEN anyone do it ... either in my group, or any nearby groups. I've never seen it at a PGA Tour event, either.
I think Tiger's in a class by himself ... spittin' and fartin' all over the course. Such a tool.

Didnt think so! So why did Monty say it - Very odd?!
I couldnt give stuff about what goes on in Tiger's private life but when it comes to on course etiquette, he's is in serious danger of losing me as a fan......
