Hi all.

Well I finally have a smartphone, an Android HTC.

Can anyone advise on the best golf apps for iphone / android phones ?

I downloaded SkyDriod and used that last weekend playing 18, it was fantastic!  It has all the functionality you'd usually have with a golf GPS device, but it was £2 !  So I was able to see a photo of the hole I was about to play, it has a gps range finder, shot tracker to measure your shot distance, distance to the hole and distances to bunkers and coursemarks etc.

I'm also wanting a scorecard and handicap tracker - now I could log in here for that but it's quite fiddly when you are out on the course to be entering in stuff via a website on a smartphone, so is anyone using a dedicated scorecard and handicap tracker app on their phone ?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Can you tell me how you got on with this App? Only Ive just tried to download it for a Blackberry and its not even sending me the text link to download it?

Maybe I should look at the SkyDroid you also mention, as I just want it for distances really.

Lemme know
