Hi,

I am after any methods of scoring that can be used for several days while on a 24 man golf trip.

We do the daily Stableford and Par events etc and I keep a winners Point score going for the 5 days.

i.e Winner gets 24 Second gets 23 and son on down each day till 1 for last place.

I have that bit covered, I want to get some more "social" ideas like....not making the ladies tee for your drive costs a jug of beer, four putss is the same.

Any othe exotics would be welcomed.

Please mail me at info@sydneygolfaustralia.com if it need to be discreet.

Thanks

Rod.

Hi Rod, we play a few games when we're away for the golfing, a couple for your consideration:

- Ouzels & flouzels (who knows but we pronounce it 'oooh-zels' & 'floo-zels') , person closest from the tee on a par 3 must get down in par ie 2 puts. if he does then everyone gives him a $ otherwise he gives everyone a $ (this is a real bugger when the greens are huuuuge and no-one else hits the green !)

- Sandies, if you get up & down from a green side bunker (ie out of the bunker and single putt) then everyone gives you a $

- Blind pairs on the day, everyone puts in a $ and the organiser draws pairs for each day (before play) then in the bar of the evening you announce who the pairs were and then announce the winner (best of 'better ball' scores for the round).

There's a couple I'm sure you'll get a few more ! (someone tried to explain one called Snakes to me but it sounded potentially expensive so the wrong side of fun for me...)

Hope that helps.

How about an eclectic competition ? I have done this on golf trips before. Best on 1st hole and so on - with the lower aggregate score for 18 holes winning the cash. It's a bit of a lottery if your playing a load of different courses but can be great fun if (say) on the last day you still have a double bogey as your best score on a particular hole and find to your horror that your last chance is S.I. 1 !!!!!

Good Luck

Hi,

Not sure if it would work but i play green bowls and when on a tour we play 6 rinks, the most losing rink having to buy the first round of the night plus they have to ware a silly hat (our choice being one of the Guiniess hates from St Pat day), so you could simply change this to the worst player of each day, its a great way to bring a competertive endge to it as trust me knowone wants the hat for the night.

Just an idea, hope you have a great time

Andy
