We have all had a score on a hole in a round that has been a card wrecker, 8,9 and 10.
That seems quite common, but what about the Pro on the tour, just herd that he has set a world record score of a 14 on a par 4.
Just wondering what other members highest score has been on a hole, can you beat 14 or have you picked up and walked to the next tee?
Tell us about your high scores on any one hole, there must be a few tales out there.

If i get to about 12, will pick up and move to the next hole, the way im playing can be more often than not at the moment.
SOMEONE ONCE SAID TO ME " FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT"

Not Quite as bad as 16, but I played Saunton in Devon last August & whilst I had a good round, the last hole was a par 3.....
I left it about 90yds short & the second shot went into a high walled bunker......I decided I was Phil Mickelson & would take on the front high wall...............
My third shot hit the wall and landed about a foot further back from my previous shot..........obviously, I had to try this shot again.
The 4th shot hit the wall, then ball bounced back and hit my arm (extra shot penalty)
My 6th shot was 'a shot in anger' at the wall again, which naturally landed back in the bunker.
Realising my round of stroke play had been completely ruined, I opted to chip the 7th shot out to the side. The 8th was on the green & 2 puts gave my a 10 on a par 3.
What did I learn from this.....Play within your strengths- If at first you fail, give up and try something different. Think carefully before playing a shot in anger.

I think I can beat this........18!!!
I WAS playing of 28 at the time and the course was empty:
- Drove my first in the woods, the second in the woods, meaning I was playing 5 off the tee.....
- Three shots off the fairways put me through the green into a ditch......
- Tired and emotional, I took four to get out, including taking a two shot penalty for a double hit......
- And four putted!!
What did I learn that day? Always drop rather than try to attempt trick shots and pick up after 10 and Ive done that plenty of times since!!
