Just wondering if this Months leaderboard will see the Epic scores of last month (at least 3 with 47 points!!)
TSG say they have sorted the system out to stop' High handicap newbies' Taking the leaderboard by storm.
I understand that everyone has a good day every now and then, but lets hope the board is a true reflection of established TSG handicaps & reflecting just who has genuinly played above their usual standard and earned their position on top of the leaderboard
Good luck to all

The law of averages says that someone will win Mays Leader Board with 40+ points, and odds on to be high handicapper again.
Still it makes you try harder, even if you are in the top 5 for a couple of weeks.

Hi Roly (et al),
Actually, when we referred to the high handicappers issue on the update email, we were referring to some of the formula's in the system that were allowing 28+ handicaps in the UK - this is now fixed.
However, the tech team are still working on the 'newbies' qualification in the monthly leaderboard.....
As such, we have been thinking some more about this issue and would welcome a debate from the members........
Should we:
A - Allow newbies into the league table after three cards - as is now?
B- Allow newbies into the league table after FIVE cards - ironing out any anomalies?
C- Allow newbies into the league table only after 10 cards - a bit harsh maybe?
D- A.N.Other solution?
Let us know your views everyone, please join in with your comments/thoughts!

Hi Guys for what its worth I feel that option B is the best solution to this problem. It will give a h/c after 3 cards, plus another 2 that will allow for adjustments to take place

I would go for either A or B, but they do not qualify until the month after their final card of the requirement going in.

Option C seems harsh, however in the long run after 10 cards have been entered you will be playing to a H/C that reflects your true standard of golf.
On the downside unless you play 2-3 times a week this could take a while to achieve.
Perhaps another idea might be to have two leader boards, according to your standard.SAY from Scratch to 14H/C. and 14H/C to 28H/C.
I wonder if the T.S.G team would be prepared to give away 2 polo shirts for the winners every month tho'
THIS TOPIC COULD GET VERY INTERESTING

Just a thought....Will the handicap be based on games played with non TSG members, or do you stipulate that the qualifying games must be played on TSG with other TSG members?
if the former applies, you could technically come in with three micky mouse cards & gain a high handicap, which could also be used to possibly win the TSG Championships!.......Am I being too pinnickity?
