Following the sad news of Seve Ballesteros' passing away this morning, we thought we would mark the occasion by inviting TSG members to give their thoughts of the great man. Please feel free to use this thread to share with everyone your memories;

I was lucky enough to see this great golfer and a true gentleman play on several occasions,one of these being at the East Sussex National, Where after his round he went straight to the practice green as he had not putted well on that day, after watching him for a while we got to talk, Not many of todays pro's would find time to just stand and talk to an intrested spectator as Seve did on that day.
He will be missed by a lot of people who live's he touched both on and off the course,and thanks for just being you.
Rest in peace Seve.

One of my earliest golfing memories was of Seve in 1979 at Royal Lytham & St.Annes.......where he ended up driving (his Tee shot!) into the car park and still put it on the green for two. Of course, I have repeated this shot many times myself over the years.......with the exception of getting it back on the green!

And despite the great weather we having right now, I am sure the summers did last longer back then, he'll be missed......Run VT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpcBFvZlyDk
