Hi,
Just thought I would post this and get peoples ideas on this. At our club we have an active junior section who once they are playing to below 28 hcp can play in the mens competitions. A few weeks ago a junior was disqualified from a medal due to incorrectly entering his handicap. This is fair enough. However the junior in question checked the handicap sheet before teeing off and filled that handicap in. The reason for the disqualification was that he hadplayed in a competition the day before at a different club and received a cut from that which had not been updated on the handicap board until after.
It seems a little harsh to dq someone who has made the best effort they can to avoid disqualification and is not intentionally try to gain an advantage.
Thanks
