Golf Forums - Drop off in membership

 I was wondering what the drop out rate has been since T S G introduced the membership fee, as it seems to me to be very high . In the group that I run on here it did have 47 members, but looking at it now it only has 6 pro members that will be able to join my games so it seems pretty disastrous,and would appear to now be a waste of my money in joining.
Has anyone else experanced this with either the groups that they run or their friends list

Its a reasonable question......

To be fair, we have only been operating the subscription membership for little over a week now and so far we have been supported really well, especially by the hard core users of the site (see games pages). In addition, we are seeing other members take up the PRO account on a daily basis, as and when their availability dictates - so I think its something that you will see grow in the coming weeks.

However, its worth mentioning that all those in your group, who's accounts have for the moment reverted to a FREE status, do still receive your game posting and would therefore be aware of your games.

As you know, we are working hard to raise the profile of the site and introduce new members all the time but it will take time to build up and whilst I was very hesitant to introduce the fee, it was the only way that the site could be maintained in its current form.

Hopefully our arrangement with YourGolfTravel has also help to soften the introduction of the fee.

Rest assured, I REALLY appreciate everyone that has supported us in the last 10 days and lets hope we can all help build the site into something bigger and better over the coming months.
