Dear TSGers,

It was last minute but we managed to get a team together in time!

The sun was shining, we all arrived in time for bacon butties and we were soon teeing off. Despite being last out of all the groups (some confusion by the organisers didnt help!) it didnt matter, we were happy to be out and enjoying the weather.......

The Result: Dave Allchorne was our lead man with 35 points, followed by Ian Mullins on 33, Andy Flynn on 30 and last but by no means least John Amos with 28 points, making a grand total of 126.

Considering we were playing off 3/4 handicaps this was solid scoring and we managed to romp home by a massive 13 point margin from our closest rivals - The London Fire Department!

What a shame the organisers couldnt be bothered to stump up for a trophy. In fact, as far as Golf Days go, this was as badly an organised event I've been on. No longest Drive?! No nearest pin?! Lets just say the TSG Open Championship held at the same venue put them to shame.

However, we didnt let this spoil the day......check out the smiling faces below!

Well done lads for flying the flag for T.S.G. AND WINNING.
You must be a bit disappointed that there was no trophies up for grabs,at least you won YEAH!!!!!!!
May be a letter to the club expressing your views would not go a miss.
Certainly if I was part of the team I would mention it to them, also the fact we where considering a second golf day there, and what they stand to loose.
Maybe we should forget a return visit here and look at courses in the south after all.
Also I  think the team might consider taking on another 4 ball of T.S.G MEMBERS,  in a match play event in September.
I am certain that this wont take to much effort,
I WILL THROW DOWN THE GAUNTLET AND START THE CHALLENGE.
WHO'S UP FOR IT

Well done for achieving success, even without me you did OK.  Always to be out and playing, it goes to show that organising events needs a bit of planning at the very least.

Well done TSG team... about time we have a 4 ball inter-TSG regional competition... matchplay would be a welcome diversion.

I could guarrantee prizes for that sort of a day... might even be able to drum up a showbiz team as well..
