Thanks for increasing the number of games per page - it's much easier to see what'x going on.

Would it be possible to flag games that I have already joined somehow? Currently I have to go into each and every game to see if I've joined it or not which is time consuming. Perhaps changing the background colour - not sure how difficult that is to do, or adding an * after the number of vacancies......

Are you aware of the fact that you can see all games you are organising or attending in the 'My Games' section from the members home page i.e. once logged in?

Hello and TO ALL NEW MEMBERS ..........Can i just say that the lads on this site do everything for FREE, so to be honest all i've seen and heard so far, for about a month or so from alot of NEW MEMBERS that have recently joined this site which however is FREE, where others do charge. ................. I have no idea why i got text messages and emails asking to do this ............... but can we please take the time to look around before asking or moaning about stuff to be changed as they do there best ........ So i guess i'm asking everyone to either be patient or look around some more before asking things to change or be changed ............................................................... THIS NOTE ISN'T JUST FOR NEW MEMBERS, BUT FOR EVERYONE WHO JUST NEED TO LOOK AROUND OR MAYBE JUST ASK ANOTHER MEMBER THE STRAIGHT FORWARD QUESTION

Notwithstanding Neil's excellent recognition of how hard the team work, the forum is the place to ask questions about how things work or raise observations about how it could work better. With a question raised in open forum others can contribute their knowledge (eg Neil :)) and everyone can add weight to system change proposals they support and let others fall because they don't get other member support. So, lets continue with the questions, the suggestions and providing help to every member of the community who wants it.

I don't think Frances was in any way being critical - just making a sensible suggestion for improvement and I'm glad this site gives an opportunity to do so. I agree with her - anything that can make it easy and quick to see what's going on has to be a good thing, without having to rummage around in various subsets of the site. Whether or not this is all available for free isn't really the issue -  Social Golfer isn't the only option for connecting with fellow golfers on the net so it needs to be open to good ideas to keep its growing and active community.

Yes i agree too. The forums are a great way of getting suggestions out there. If they are there great and someone can point you in the right direction. If they are not then there then other people may say 'yea thats a good idea' and throw support for it which may mean the site people will do it. Seems a win win situation for me.

Carry on the chats I love em

Regards

Steve
