A fellow member at my golf club was looking for a 3 and 5 wood for a spare set to keep at work, so he could pop out and play nine holes when things were quiet. I said, I am sure I have some old woods I don't use, I will let you know.
I moved into my current house about a year ago and my old golf clubs live in the garage, more by force of habit than anything else. The garage is a bit musty and some of the clubs had stuff growing on them so I decided to clean them and move them into one of my spare rooms.
Well, how many clubs did I find? Note, my current playing set are in my car.
I have 95 RESERVE golf clubs, these are
8 drivers
12 fairway metals
2 hybrids
9 putters
10 wedges
3 iron sets
1 ladies set of woods and irons
6 misc 6 irons
6 misc 1 and 2 irons
5 misc "miracle" wedges, chippers, etc
Have booked apointment with shrink for tomorrow!
I am not a hoarder by nature so I am sure someone can beat this.
cheers

That will take some beating John, but don't be too hard on yourself..............2 of the 95 will go to your fellow member, that will still leave you with enough clubs for 6 sets if you fancy a change.

Hi John,
Thats hilarious......
When I first read your note, I thought you must be a hoarder.....however, just totaled mine up and it made 22 reserve clubs incluidng 3 currently on loan! (Excludes playing set).
2 Drivers
4 Fairway woods
12 irons
4 putters(?!)
+ 2 spare golf bags!
And I had a set + bag stolen last year....this is very worrying!
:-)

That's very impressive, John but I'd love to know how you ended up with a set of Ladies clubs ;-)

And you didn't mention how many sets of golf shoes you had. I'm sure you must have a good few pairs of those.

HI Dave
Ladies set - As I am currently unattached, when I meet Miss Right, she may need to borrow a set. The grips on this set are a bit worn and I am thinking of replacing them with Lamkin Ladies Blue grips - http://www.lamkingrips.c...rossline_Ladies_Blue.php
Golf Shoes - 8 pairs I think - Main pair in car with spare in view. Emergency pair inside spare wheel. Five reserve pairs at home
cheers
