I am going to arrange another days golf at Woburn G.C. in April 2012.In the last couple of years I have managed to play there 3 times with other T.S.Gers
On each occassoin it has been memorable visit, and it keeps getting better every time we return there.
I know one T.S.G member has already booked his fourth time to come with me and are now looking for another two to make up a fourball.
If you want to join us in 2012 on our return viisit,or have any questions you may want to ask to persuade you to join us then please drop a line under this topic and I will try to give you an answer.
THIS PLACE IS GOLF TO DIE FOR (see past posts written about Woburn)

it will be money well spent tho'.It's probably the finest venue for golf in the country.Thats why we keep going back.
How much would it cost to go and watch a cup final at Wembly,or a test match at Lords.
At least you are playing at such a prestigious venue, and not a spectatator for the same price.
Its the experience you cant beat.!!!!!!!

Nice, so thats a fourball and it didn't take very long. Maybe we could get another group or two?
Were you planning on doing the 2 round in one day deal?

lets put it this way Greg, without you in the frame the day would not be the same,of course you are included, ONE OF THE ORIGINALS.
Its your turn to put me on the deck with a stray shot, fond memories.

Steve, from past experience trying to organise a golf day at a course like Woburn has been a nightmare, people are always up for it,Ihave booked the tee times and arranged the day,but when it comes to paying the money the problems begin.
The excuses start commimg out, mainly because of the price and they drop out, leaving me to pick up the pieces. It becomes embarrasing for me being the organiser.
So I will only be going as a FOURBALL, with Greg and John in the group and yourself,it all ready is going to be a crack.
I have played there probably 15 times over the years, and always look forward to going back.
I will phoning the club soon to see what dates they can offer us in April, I am thinking of playing on a Thursday or Friday!!!!!!!
ANY PREFERANCES ON WHAT DAY WE PLAY post your reply please.
Jack
This will be 2 rounds of golf I hope to play the Duchess and Dukes, the Duchess is my favorite of the 3 courses.

John suggestion is we play late in the month, possibly on Thursday 26th APRIL,this will give us more daylight and more time to finish.
This date is Ok with me I need confimation from Steve and Greg, and then I will book it up.
The way we have done it in the past is the club asks for a 25% deposit, when I book it.
I will pay my 25% deposit, which will be about £35 this will secure the booking, then it is upto each invidual to pay there own deposit once the booking is made.
You can do this by phoning the club giving them the date and time we are playing, and pay by credit card.
We pay the outstanding balance in the Pro Shop on the day.We normally do this as soon as we have all met up.
By paying this way no one is out of pocket, and there can be no arguments, its the fairest way especially if someone decides to pulls out.
I think the cost for the Day is about £140 each I will confirm the price once I have made the booking.
It is still 6 months away but it comes round very quick,so get saving you pennies.
By the way GREG this time I will take a First Aid kit you never know what might happen.
If you can get back A.S.A.P i WILL GET THE BALL ROLLING.

Morning. I would prefer a weekend as I will have to take a day of work, but if that is not possible then a Friday would be better to turn it into a long weekend.
If you all prefer Thursday 26th though then that is fine with me.

I have never played there at weekend ,I don't even know if they allow guests.I am told tho' it does get very busy with the members, even with 3 courses.
So I am going ahead with the 26 APRIL 2012 as this date seems to be favourite with all.

Hi Jack, when you say "rolling" i know you really mean get the ball shooting forward low enough to endanger the shins and ankles of anyone lingering by their ball, whilst being overcome by smugness (and therefore not fully aware whats going on around them) at placing their 1st drive in the centre of the fairway. First Aid Kit is a good idea, especially if it has bump cream.
