Hi,
I'm new to the game so I'm keen to build up my playing and social networking opportunities. I can see that there is not currently a TSG society in Gloucestershire, the nearest being Ledbury, I think.
Would there be any interest from others in Gloucestershire to create a society for the area?
Regards
Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,
The problem is of course, that few people know of the site. I only came across it by accident, but it has changed my golfing experience dramatically. I hope you have success in forming a group in Gloucs.

Thanks for your reply Alan, after having joined the forum only recently I've already noticed that it is little used which is a shame.

Yup, but it is still in it's infancy....so hopefully it will grow with more and more subscribers. If you have any golfing mates, it might be an idea to mention it to them. I love the fact that I can now join in with games at courses I would never have dreamt of previously. Strange that some people appear loathe to join in with people they don't know....anyway, good luck again

Lloyd, why not arrange a game and post it on TSG? You never know, there me be someone out there looking to have a game near Gloucester. It would be best to plan it 2/3 weeks in advance, so that more people will have a chance to notice the game. If it does turn out that no one joins, you could always simply cancel the game!
I joined The SocialGolfer at the end of June this year and have already played more than 20 games, many at courses I'd never have thought of playing, so give it a go.....and good luck!!
