I put my cards in if there are temporary greens, and I know fellow T.S.Gers do.This all comes under playing "winter rules"
Some people will say you cant because it's not a proper golf hole with temporary green.
What happens when you are playing off a temporary tee, with a proper green in play? The hole will be reduced in length, most times which gives the hole a new perspective on how you play it and the score you make.
Good question this one,I would say yes to putting your card in.

I think it depends on the circumstances. The obvious example was stockbrook manor recently where there were 18 temporary greens but the holes themselves were like buckets. As long as you hit the ball roughly on line it had a fair chance of dropping. On the day a lot of people came in with very high stapleford scores but chose not to enter the cards both for handicap and leaderboard purposes, which i think was reasonable,
Had it just been that the tees were forward and the greens back but the holes were standard size then I suspect more people with exceptional scores would have entered their cards as a truer reflection of their play on the day.

Hmmmm.....I agree with Dave, I think you have to make a judgement based on the conditions and the course layout. However, I think if the course length has been altered and is no longer representative of what is on the card then its a no.
With regards to the Temp greens specifically, I don't see much point in entering a card if the holes are like buckets but if the temp greens are of good quality then yes.
Its all down to the individual, this is a game of honesty and therefore the player should know in himself whether it is fair representation of his(or her) round!
