Welcome to the TSG MatchPlay Championship 2021... In order to secure your place in this year’s event, join this group by Sunday 5th April at Midnight and we will put your name in the hat for the draw. This competition is ONLY open to TSG PRO members and there is only room for 64 golfers and you will require a TSG Handicap to enter(3+ cards). The tournament will be a knock-out style format and you will have one month to complete each match. The first player in each tie has first 'dibs' on the venue BUT it is paramount that you offer to meet your opponent as close to halfway as possible. In short, be sensible! *In this regard, failure to adhere to the 'Spirit of TSG' will result in immediate disqualification from the competition. Games will commence in May. Standard MatchPlay rules will apply but MUST be agreed upon by both players before the match begins (more info to be published at the start of the competition). Those failing to complete their games will have their matches decided by the toss of a coin. It's free to enter and will culminate in a Grand Final in October. This year will again see a third-place play-off. Finalists will play for free and others wishing to come along for a 'social' day in order to watch the winner 'crowned' will be able to do so at 'Members' rates (£25pp). Current TSG MatchPlay Champion 2020 – Tony Moss(H'cap 9).
Just a quick reminder that all 2nd round ties are to be played by end of June!Mark & Ian-----------
Really fun day with Drew and Lee, Drew thoroughly deserved the victory, played some really good golf. Thanks Lee for organising, your 10&8 victory was a joy to watch lol
The game I saw today with Martin & Drew I would have paid good money to watch. Luckily enough I didn’t have pay,it was a great to see the Gents battle it out. I felt a bit left out so I played an imaginary one-I scraped through winning 10&8.
I had a great match with Martin today at Aldenham. It was a real pleasure playing with you Martin and a good time was had. I was luck enough to win 4&3, but it could have gone either way really. All the best Martin, and hope we play again soon. A special thanks to Lee Benson for helping get us a tee time at his course.
I would pay to watch matt and tony
definitely tony v Matt.
Tony v Matt will be interesting if they are both on form. For that matter, Paul v Mr Consistent will be a good one.............sorry gents, not paying for it though, rather be playing!
Paul Smith Vs Steve Slater
TSG HQ update: David Stevens has given Matt Coffey a pass to next round due to transport issues, and Steve Slater gets a pass as no scorecards have been submitted by Allen Muhoma. So, it's now Tony Moss Vs Matt Coffey and Paul Smith Vs Steve Slater...Which one would you pay to watch...Ian & Mark----------
Played David at Thorney Park yesterday. We enjoyed the course and had a very close game with it being decided in my favour on the 18th. Thanks for an enjoyable game David.
On account of no cards being entered on David O'Connor's profile, Chris Ford gets a bye to 4th round! Ian & Mark----------
