Not what I expected!

Another Essex course that many golfers big up? What did I think? Well I was not that impressed. It was extremely windy, but the whole course was tatty, greens were ok but inconsistent, the tees were pretty shocking. The bunkers were very well kept. The fairways were full of divets. The cross over holes made teeing off a nightmare, waiting for groups walking up your fairway! All in all another very average Essex course. I paid £27 with ham egg & chips. The staff were very nice and helpful, the club house is superb. I just did not like the course, I won’t be rushing back.

A good-condition, windy seaside course

Half woodland and half links this is a windy seaside course that is always in good condition. A friendly pro shop and clubhouse, but the course is often busy. Easy walking.
