Pretty tree lined course

Witney was very close to where we were staying so we took a punt and i must say was very happy overall with the experince, driving range in good, as is the practice greens. Fairways were obviously brown due to the weather this summer but the greens were overall in good condition, again not perfect but very even all round the course. The bunkers were very good. Overall a good 4 hours spent with Dad, bro and son

Lovely course

For a course that has 'lakes' in the name, I maybe expected to see more water. It is still a nice course though. It's fairly flat, so very easy walking. There are a couple of holes where they could certainly provide a sign to get you to the next tee the (the 9th and 17th, I think).

The fairways mostly seem fairly wide from the tee, but the 2nd cut creeps in a lot closer to the middle than you may think. Having played it only the once I didn't remember too many of the holes, but the par 3 8th (water from tee to green) and the par 4 18th (water and clubhouse left of the green) appeared to be the nicest looking. The whole course will test you though.

The course is certainly a pleasure to play, without ever really being spectacular. The tees and greens are in good condition, there are nice practice facilities to get you warmed up, and the clubhouse (part of the hotel) seemed nice enough too.

Witney Lakes

Played 9 holes around this course during the evening and thought it was very nice. Wide fairways and well kept greens. The 8th hole is a potential card ruiner but that adds to the excitement!
