Great welcome, nice course.

I didn't know what to expect here with it being a council run course, but I was blown away by the service from the staff, and enjoyed this parkland layout. At just over 6,000 yds it was a test for all and generally interesting enough to keep all on their toes. The club was well run and great value. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, there was a complimentary bacon sandwich and coffee when we went, at the halfway hut, which was great. Really friendly and would recommend.

Very well maintained public course / Good value for money

Rookwood Golf Club is a public parkland course with wide fairways and long Par 5, few water hazards and well placed bunkers. Very good condition for winter time. Greens are fast. Half way hut and toilets. Very friendly Clubhouse in an old barn with original features, beautiful oak beams. the clubhouse opens onto a "square"/terrace with seating, lovely setting in Summer time for the 19th hole. Fees from £12 to £15 in the week. Good value for money. Will return.

Need another crack at this one

It is a fairly open course but with 3 or 4 really nice holes, the second and third are very pretty. With perfect weather like we had yesterday you really should be scoring well. I was poor and still managed 32 points so I will be back for another go soon.
