Nice course and good facilities

Well maintained course with modern clubhouse. A bit pricey if paying full price but several deals available including DBB stays at the hotel with golf included

Very tough but picturesque course

I played Ufford as part of the British Disabled Open championship.
the course was in very good condition apart from the greens, which were unbelievably slow. Nearly every pin was crowned. even after playing the course three days running, I could not get the ball to the hole!
The course starts with a dead easy par 5, which lures you into a false sense of security. I started everday with a par, missing a birdie putt, but oh does it get tough from here. The second is not easy, neither is the short 3rd.
4 and 5 are not to bad, but 6 is a 602yd up hill par 5! Stroke index one if you hit the two best shots of your life, you are confronted by a 120ft high oak tree which dominates the green approach, try going over that with a seven iron!!
The course has some beautiful holes 9 is a gem,so is 10, 14 and 16 are also very picturesque.
The slow greens and the crowned pins did ruin the course for me. Many of the members said the same thing about the greens, I would be fuming if it was my club as the course is so good.
Don't expect 36 points if you visit Ufford blind, its tough the 6th is a brute of a hole, a stiff breeze made it impossible for me to reach in 4!
The Hotel is very accomodating the rooms are very clean, many look out onto the practise putting green.
The bar and restaurant are superb as are the staff.
I found the golf pros and there are many, a bit aloof and not overly friendly.
The buggies are £18 as is a round of golf which is not cheap golf, but they do offer some great deals.
I would come as a four ball and stay over to get my monies worth.
I will be back...Parring the 6th in a howling gale in January is my goal!

Just a quick up date. Nearly a year after my intial review, I return to Ufford and played three rounds in the British Disabled Open. Again the hotel was good, the food was average. The course again is good but the greens are so slow. Unless you have a lot of luck putting is tough at the club. Over the weekend I had over a dozen rim outs. The practice green is fine?
Other than that I enjoy the course which is taxing!

Well worth a visit , we enjoyed our game .

some very tight holes with tree lines , well worth a visit but in my view it has to many bunkers that can demolish your score card
